FIVE DAYS ON TOP OF THE BIELLESE ALPS
Wonderful trekking in five stages along the "Alta Via del Biellese". Dedicated to those who love alpine nature and enjoy a walk at a moderate altitude without too much danger. It crosses all the chain of Alps of the Biellese area, from hut to hut, following the summit of our mountains. The trekking may be shortened or stopped at any time, thanks to easy and quick descent ways to near villages
PROGRAM 4 NIGHTS/5 DAYS
DAY 1 (2.5 hours walk)
Departure from Biella. Arrival at the village of Piedicavallo (1037 mt). Meeting with the guide and discussion of the programm.
Trekking to the hut Rifugio Rivetti (2150 mt.) Dinner. Night at the hut.
DAY 2 (5 hours walk)
Departure from Rifugio Rivetti (2150 mt.) to Gemelli - Lago della Vecchia - Rifugio della Vecchia (1872 mt.). Dinner. Night at the hut.
DAY 3 (5 hours walk)
Departure from Rifugio della Vecchia (1872 mt.) to Hut Capanna Renata (2391 mt.). Dinner. Night at the hut.
DAY 4 (5 hours walk)
Departure from Hut Capanna Renata (2391 mt.) to Hut Rifugio Coda (2280 mt.). Dinner. Night at the hut.
DAY 5 (4 hours walk)
Departure from Hut Rifugio Coda (2280 mt.) - Lunch at Rifugio del Mombarone (2312 mt.) - Village of Graglia. Return to Biella.
Included: trasportation Biella/Piedicavallo and Graglia/Biella, guide, rent of helmet, harness.
Not included: four nights and four dinners in the huts. Packed lunchs – may be purchased at the huts. Drinks, and anything not indicated as “included".
